The Power of yours Words by Ericka Koehler

The power of your words is a force untold

A weapon for good, or so we’re told

With just a whisper, a thought expressed

You can change a heart, or lay it to rest.

Your words can lift up or tear down

Create a smile or make one frown

They can comfort a soul in need

Or cause a wound that will forever bleed.

The power of your words is yours alone

To use for good or to make unknown

The weight of your words is heavier still

Than any weapon or dollar bill.

So, choose your words with care and thought

For what you say can’t be unsought

Use your words to inspire and ignite

And watch the world around you take flight.

The words we speak, they hold such power,

They can lift us up, or make us cower.

They can bring us joy, or cause us pain,

And shape the course of our life’s terrain.

For words can build, and words can break,

They can heal a heart, or cause it to ache.

They can inspire, and they can ignite,

They can bring us closer, or push us out of sight.

The power of your words cannot be ignored,

For they can create, or they can destroy the world.

They can change a mind, or change a heart,

And set a soul on a brand-new start.

So, choose your words with care, and with intent,

For they will shape your world, and how it is spent.

Let them be a force for good, and not for ill,

And let them lead you to a life that’s full and real.
